The Cosmic Circle
Hey Festie family, the fact that this newsletter is headed to you on August 1st simply amazes me. Itâs been a wild summer so far, filled with new experiences, music journeys, lessons, and friends, to name a few. Iâm feeling extremely grateful for how the community is coming together, now hitting over 12k followers on Instagram, and making new Festie connections for upcoming collaborations. Weâre growing and being curious, and thatâs what gravitates the motions and energies that will ultimately be the inviolability of our future. So sit back, get your cup of coffee (or perhaps a glass of ice water), and enjoy our updates and new media to digest on this HOT Tuesday morning.

Plugging in DJ twinnems, Coco & Breezy, who are killing it on tour and have just surprised us with even more show dates. A Festisia favorite since the start, the sisters are not only keeping us on our toes sonically, but theyâre pioneering the crossover between music and fashion. Theyâve collaborated with one of the greatest festival shoes, Teva, and also have their own incredible eyewear collection.
Coco & Breezy continue to wow us in every which way, and we want to show and share the love that they introduce to electronic music. Theyâre always coming in with fresh mixes and a sisterly energy that makes the music space more oriented around fam ties. The vibrancy that comes from âtwintuitionâ, as they like to call it. Weâre hyped to see their next moves and the fun they bring into our lives.
A Coco & Breezy favorite:
We lost a very important woman in history last week, and feeling extremely heavy as the mourning moments follow. My dad introduced Sinead OâConnor to me when I was young to highlight the importance of eclectic energy and music activism as I grow alongside ever-changing environments. The way that music and art transpires in awareness of flawed societal nuances is far unique from how we typically interpret our understanding of the world. She was unapologetic, and carried grace, empathy, passion, life, strength, rage, leadership, amongst many other courageous qualities. Her music was beyond character and emotion, touching our subconscious with a sound that, for just a moment, could release our egos. Weâve experienced, too many times, losing valuable artists who create such impact on the world, but find that they hide pain behind their presence. Sinead OâConnor will forever, forever be the foundation for conscious creativity. In honor, Alanis Morissette and the Foo Fighters recently performed a tribute for Sinead thatâs worth watching.
Other stories to check this week:
Once again, our community is out and about dancing and doing crazy moves in the live music scene. Festie Golddub and his crew attended the second weekend of Tomorrowland, which as always, completely rocked it with production and artist presence. Check out the IG to get a peak at their adventures. As we speak, the Tomorrowland crew is doing a Europe backpack detour. Pretty rad.
On the other end of the Atlantic, was a 5-day Phish bender at Madison Square Garden, where a hefty chunk of the Festisia community attended. The crew consisted of both first timers and veterans with 100+ show counts. LSP, considerably the most dedicated Phish fan there is, has a few things to say:
The band put on some of their best shows in recent history, completely melting the crew and giving many the bug to see more. The actual shows were incredible. Chris Kuroda, the lighting manager, has gotten to a level of mastery that is beyond comprehension. Itâs truly an audiovisual experience like no other. But even better than seeing the show was seeing the reactions of friends who were there for the first time.
Last but not least, traveling across the horizon in the heart of Napa, CA was Blue Note Jazz Festival, where Festie team CK and Leiroy got a glimpse of an entirely enlightening scene of music and culture. At surface level and distance, Blue Note Jazz fest may look like another boujee Napa event, but to the Festie team, it was one of the most insightful and creative festivals theyâve been to. Ever heard Chris Brownâs public outcry asking, âWho the f*ck is Robert Glasper?â Well, the mercurial composer and producer acclaimed across the spheres of jazz, hip-hop and R&B, created Blue Note Jazz Festival as a space to emblemize multicultural raw and upcoming entertainment. With acts like Nas, Dave Chappelle, Chance the Rapper, De La Soul, and tons more underground talent, Glasper helped create a community on the basis of culture, diversity, and shared passion for the arts.
I want to make sure the guests and artists have memorable experiences. Just like my Blue Note New York residency, the festival is filled with impromptu jams and surprises during one big musical family reunion with artists and an audience that share an appreciation for the culture.
If you did some music sightseeing during your week, let us know so we can share your experience with the community!
âPloverâ. Cute bird? Yes. A curious lover? Maybe. Epic robes? Definitely. âLike a well-trimmed mustache, a robe can be stylish, practical, and immediately suggest that you donât take yourself too seriously.â They wanted something that can quick dry, is light enough for the beach, strong enough for the home or cold, but also vibey enough to wear at a Dead show. And wouldnât you know it, theyâre thermoregulated and moisture wicking with 4-way stretch and have UPF protection. Out came some designs, some fun looks, and most definitely some immaculate vibes. They got a huge plug with Marc Rebillet, who loves the robes, and we canât wait for them to take over the music festival scene.
We worked with the Plover team on our Robe Rage at Bonnaroo. Fun times were had, obviously.

If you havenât yet made your way over to our Spotify, weâre here to make sure you donât miss out. The best way to introduce our team is through expressing their sonic muse. Check out last weekâs playlist from LSP, our Content Strategy Lead:
